The Immortals Series by Alyson Noel

Time for me to review my favorite series of all time. I have read this whole series in the past, but I wanted to write a post about it now that I have this blog.

Evermore (Book 1)
Since a horrible accident claimed the lives of her family, sixteen-year-old Ever can see auras, hear people’s thoughts, and know a person’s life story by touch.   Going out of her way to shield herself from human contact to suppress her abilities has branded her as a freak at her new high school—but everything changes when she meets Damen Auguste . .
Ever sees Damen and feels an instant recognition.  He is gorgeous, exotic and wealthy, and he holds many secrets.  Damen is able to make things appear and disappear, he always seems to know what she’s thinking—and he’s the only one who can silence the noise and the random energy in her head.  She doesn’t know who he really is—or what he is.  Damen equal parts light and darkness, and he belongs to an enchanted new world where no one ever dies.

I read this series during the vampire trend, and read them when they were first released. I got so tired of reading the same thing over and over again that I decided to read this series. Ever is the only one in her family that survived a car crash and now has to live with her sister. Ever meets Damen who is very mysterious, and it turns out Damen is an immortal and he has been trying to be with Ever. It turns out Damen was the one who make Ever immortal so that she didn't die with her family.

I found it so addicting. I read it when I was in high school. I like how the people were immortal but not vampires, they became immortal by drinking an elixir. What I also liked about it was that it had a addicting plot, some of the choices Ever made I wanted to punch her. I was very happy that she and Damon ended up together. It has the same element most authors write immortality verses mortality, but this is something different and enjoyable to the average person who wants to read a paranormal romance, but with it not being vampires. Hope you enjoy this series as much as I did over the years.
