Adrianna nodded her
head. She was about to get into the carriage before she turned around.
“Carlos I need to ask one thing from you,” Adrianna said.
“Not as your queen but as a friend.”
“What
is it?” Carlos asked.
“Promise
me that you will look after my mother,” Adrianna said.
“I promise,” Carlos said. “Your grace.”
Adrianna shook her head. “Carlos how many times must I
ask you to call me Adrianna,” she said.
“Once more my queen,” Carlos said. “If the regent hears
me not calling you by your nobility I could lose my head.”
